Rte 153 Driveway Construction

This project consisted of constructing a gravel driveway.  We used the footprint of an old logging road and followed the natural contour of the hill side to minimize the steepness of the driveway. By doing this the Driveway has a nice gradual incline.  Three 15″ Culverts were installed to allow for proper drainage to prevent the driveway from washing out.

Issue: Heavy Rains during the construction of the driveway. Causing erosion issues in the ditches.
Solution: Lining the ditches with Rip Rap to prevent further erosion and to stabilize the ditches.
