Freedom Public Safety Complex

The Project was focused on an addition to the existing Freedom Fire Station to provide new space for the Police Department and some additional space for the Fire Department. Work on this project required clearing of the wooded portions of the site, excavation for the addition, and associated site work for the drainage and other site needs. The Project required a fast time table to provide for a quick opening of the addition to the facility and limited impact for the Fire Department.

The Project was started to provide additional room for the Freedom Police Department who did not have sufficient room at the existing location within the Town Offices. After many years of planning the project was approved in 2011 and fast tracked in the fall of 2011 for completion

Issue: Minimize disruption to the Fire Department during construction.
Solution: Desmarais & Associates, LLC placed an onsite office trailer to assist the Fire Department during the work. In addition to this G. W. Brooks and Son, Inc. worked with the Fire Department and moved around different trailers and other items for them throughout the project.
