Location: Ossipee, NH
Owner: Carroll County, NH
Engineer: White Mountain Survey Company, Inc.
General Contractor: Hutter Construction Corporation

Project Description

The Project required the installation of a culvert to access the site as a permanent driveway. The overall Project called for a balancing cut and fill for the site where the site was leveled and on one end an eight foot fill was required. The building excavation was then able to commence and utilities to the new building were soon installed below ground. Once the overall site was graded there were detention ponds and other associated parking lot drainage items installed. Retaining walls were installed to provide for site grading along a lower road and an extensive drainage system below the wall. The Project was completed with the installation of a raised leach field septic system, asphalt paving of the site and landscaping.

Project Background

The project was required due to the current courthouse (circa 1916) having limited parking and limited space within the building. The new courthouse was built within the county complex to further enhance access for people looking to visit multiple county offices within a closer proximity.
